2008 Bicentennial Medalists Panel Discussion
Established in 1993 on the occasion of the College's 200th anniversary, Bicentennial Medals honor members of the Williams community for distinguished achievement in any field of endeavor. The College awarded 23 Bicentennial Medals in 1993 and has added five to seven in each year since.
The 2008 Bicentennial Medalists participating in this September 5 panel discussion are:
- Dickinson R. Debevoise '46, senior judge for the U.S. District Court of New Jersey
- Eugene C. Latham '55, president of the world's largest organization of orphanages
- Dean Cycon '75, founder of the fair trade coffee company Dean's Beans
- Susan C. Schwab '76, U.S. trade representative
- Michael J. Govan '85, director of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art
- Mayda A. Del Valle '00, slam poetry writer and performer
